This place suits me perfectly and offers everything I need, free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, and a flat-screen TV. The staff once helped me with sim cards I left behind. Highly recommend for a cozy stay. I’m coming back for Christmas!

Heated pool , proximity to beach, well-kept garden and outdoor spaces
The décor and some facilities feel tired and neglected!!! The lack of lighting in outdoor areas poses a safety risk, especially for elderly guests returning to their rooms at night. A little maintenance could go a long way!!!

Our stay was enjoyable, especially the spacious twin room that had a lovely view of the sea. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially at the hotel’s restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious, and the staff made our family feel truly welcome. The kids loved the coastal path right by the beach, perfect for evening strolls watching the sunset.
In my wife’s opinion, having a kids’ play area would enhance the experience.

I stayed at the Wayside for a week and had a pretty good time. The twin room I was in was clean and bright, with a lovely view of the sea. Waking up to that scenery was a great start to my day. The breakfast each morning was ample and really set me up well for the day ahead. The evening meals were excellent too, with a variety of options available. I appreciated how helpful the owners were throughout my stay. they made everything easier and more enjoyable. there were some areas for improvement. The decor felt a bit dated, which took away from the overall atmosphere. some areas had limited lighting, making it hard to navigate at night. a good spot but could use some freshening up.

It was just a balanced option for a city break in Castel with very good value for money. The breakfast was excellent, setting a positive tone for the day. Best to leave the car in the car park and explore the island by bus.

Great meals but loud vibes
We had a pretty cool stay! The owners were super helpful, and breakfast was nice. Dinner was that carvery style, so be ready to queue a bit. Food was decent and prices were good. Just wish the restaurant wasn't so noisy. hard to chat! Loved the casual vibe though.

The twin room had a spacious layout with plenty of natural light, perfect for someone like me who needs room to breathe. Direct access to the beach via a private entrance was a solid highlight, making it easy to catch the sunset without a hassle.
While the room's size was impressive, a fresh coat of paint wouldn't hurt, especially in the bathroom where the fixtures ran a bit dated. Outdoor areas looked neglected, with dead shrubs and overgrown weeds creating an unkempt vibe that could use some attention. unexpected noise from the bar area may disrupt light sleepers. it could be wise to confirm room locations if peace and quiet are a priority.
